FAQ's

What is the Cherry Soda Studios Membership?

The Studio Membership is a monthly (or annual) option for creators who use the studio regularly. Members receive a set number of studio hours each month, simplified booking, and clearly defined terms designed for consistency and ease of use.

Who is the membership for?

Memberships are best suited for:

  • Repeat creators

  • Production teams

  • Brands, photographers, filmmakers, and content creators who book regularly

How many hours do I get, and how do I book them?

Each membership includes a fixed number of studio hours per month (for example, 10 hours/month). Hours are booked through our online scheduling system and tracked automatically through the calendar.

What happens if I use all my hours or go overtime?

Once your monthly hours are used, additional time may be booked at the standard hourly rate. If a session runs overtime, excess time is billed automatically at the standard rate using the card on file.

Do I need insurance?

Yes. All productions must carry insurance.

  • You may use your own annual production insurance, or

  • Purchase short-term coverage through one of our recommended providers.

on a case by case basis, you may be able to hire Cherry Multimedia as your production company, which carries it’s own insurance.

Do unused hours roll over?

Yes — unused hours roll over for a limited time.

Hours may be used for up to 3 months after they’re issued, after which they expire.

Is there a minimum booking time?

Yes. To ensure the studio is properly maintained and ready for every shoot, bookings have a minimum session length of 2hrs.  This helps keep the space consistently clean and production-ready.

What about cleaning and painting the studio?

The studio is always maintained to a professional baseline standard.

  • Memberships include 2 cleanings per 10 hours.

  • Additional cleanings may be required depending on usage. For example, if you choose 5, 2hr sessions and need resets for all of them, you’d have to pay for the additional 3 cleanings.

  • In the name of sustainability, Cyc painting is only performed when requested or needed for a shoot. It saves paint, time, and money for everyone. For example, if you’re only doing a talking head shoot, you can save money on a cleaning/painting fee for that shoot, but you must request it. Otherwise it will get painted with fees automatically applied.

If your production doesn’t require a fresh paint or reset, you can choose to skip it.

What if my session runs overtime?

If a session goes beyond the booked time or available hours:

  • Overtime is billed at the standard hourly rate

  • Charges are applied automatically using the card on file

Can I add gear or services during a shoot?

Yes. If you request additional lights, gear, or in-house add-ons during a session, they can be added to your booking and charged to the card on file. Requests made by text or email are considered approval. Certain Subscription Tiers can include additional lighting as well.

How does billing, renewal, and cancellation work?

Monthly memberships renew automatically. Annual memberships are billed upfront. A valid card must remain on file. Memberships may be canceled with 30 days’ notice prior to the next billing cycle.

Can I share or transfer my membership?

No. Memberships are non-transferable and may not be resold or shared for profit. Hours are tied to the individual or company that purchased the membership.
